The Zurich sock manufacturer "DillySocks" hit me up to do a short animation for their commercial. When I've heard about the whole concept of the clip I didn't have to think twice. Eventually some naked skin makes a good impression in a portfolio!

It's done! We completed the shoot for my second degree bachelor film. After several slams, countless tries and a nearly broken foot we recorded pretty much all that was planned. Thanks to the boys who gave their everything and the whole crew that supported me! It was truly a blast... even though we were freezing our asses of!
Now I'm gonna lock myself into the editing room, scan the whole footage and make a selection. I'm really excited to get all the different parts together in the editing... let's hope for the best!
On the 22. and 23. of november the "Schweizer Jungfilmfestival Luzern" is held for the 10th time in Lucerne. Our short experimental film "ink." will be screened on those two days in the bourbaki cinema. We're quite excited and hope to see some familiar faces... and some new ones as well of course! So come by and have a chat and a beer with us!
The established skate- and design label ‘Safari’ made a movie as a present for their 10 year anniversary. For this we took care of implenting the intro. The shoot took place in a hidden shack which contained a miniramp, somewhere in the swiss mountains. Inside the shack we arranged a small living room which can be seen towards the end of the intro.
Thanks a lot to Patrick Pytell and the boys of the "Screamcat Ramp" for letting us shoot at this awesome location.
Doodah presents the annual Purple Park Contest Clip! Filmed and edited by me. Hope you guys like it. See you next year!
"Ink." will be screened at this year's Basel Gässli Film Festival.
Hopefully a lot of people are interested in seeing the film and join us at the "Gässli"!
I've always liked shooting on real film. Whether photography or moving pictures. There's something quite magical about shooting on real film. Every shot is thought over... because every shot costs you money. This short film was mainly to to determine whether camera, film and workflow still work the way one expects. The footage was taken at the rhein docks in Kleinhünigen, Basel. A kodak ektachrome color reversal film was used, which posses space for solely 3,5 minutes of film material.
Fortunatelly it seems like everything works the way it should. Even though it's a bit pricey, I most definitely wanna work with this distinctive and unique format. It really hooked me again! In this spirit - film is dead. long live film!
For our next project at the university we documented the work of the very talented tattoo artist Lukas Speich at the XXX Tattoo Studio in Lucerne. With the help of animated typography we try to show (and to a certain degree explain) the work of a tattoo artist and the process of tattoing.
